If you are using Logitech Cam software...

Last Updated: Jun 09, 2013 06:50PM PDT

If you are using Logitech camera software, it may interfere with our video recording software. In order to complete a MindSwarms study, this software must be uninstalled or otherwise disabled.

The easiest way to disable this software is to reboot your computer in safe mode. To do so:
1. Shut down your computer
2. Turn it back on while holding the F8 key.
3. When the boot options menu is displayed select “Safe Mode” and hit enter.
4. Once your computer has booted up, open up the MindSwarms web site and find the study on your dashboard.
5:.Once you complete the study, set your computer back to normal by repeating steps 1 and 2 and then selecting boot normally in the boot options menu.

If booting in safe mode does not work you can try to remove the Logitech software. Before you attempt this you should make sure that you have the disk to re-install the software in case you would like to use it later. If you are not familiar with the add/remove software screen you should not attempt to remove software from your computer. We are not responsible for any loss incurred due to uninstalling software from your computer. That said, the proper uninstallation of Logitech software does not usually cause any problems.

To complete the uninstall, open up the start menu in the bottom left corner of your screen. Look for the control panel button in the start menu and click it. Once the control panel screen is open, find the add/remove programs icon. When you click this icon a box will display that contains all of the programs on your computer in alphabetical order.

Scroll through these programs to find and click the Logitech Desktop entry. After clicking the entry you should see an uninstall program button appear. Click this button and follow the steps to uninstall the program.

When the unistall is complete you should be able to complete a MindSwarms study!
